Udupi: Investiture ceremony and freshers' day held at G M Global School

Udupi, Jul 7: Investiture ceremony and Freshers' Day of G M Global School were held on July 6 at school premises.

Dr Ronald Sequeria, spoke about the importance of leadership and the need to explore talents and the skills for self-development of students. He also explained about the importance of simplicity in today’s real-life situation.

George Kurian, principal, GMVPS, stated the importance of the role and responsibilities of the newly elected student council and also appreciated the students for their mind-blowing performance on stage.

Pranav Shetty, principal, GM Global School, asked the freshers and the existing students to participate in all the co-curricular activities to showcase their talents.

Prakashchandra Shetty, chairman, motivated the students to excel in both extracurricular activities and in academics. He also set high standards for students to achieve their goals, keeping in mind their forthcoming board exams.

The induction of the Student Council members for the academic year 2024-2025 and the badging ceremony commenced, as the students marched towards the dais to receive their badges. Dhanish Gowda, head boy and Shreya D Shetty, head girl, followed by the discipline and sports ministers, captains of all the four houses and their vice captains received the badges from the dignitaries.

During the oath taking ceremony, each member pledged to uphold the values and principles of good governance, to work towards improving student life and academic experiences and to be a responsible representative of their peers.

The event commenced with traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome dance.

Priya Lopez welcomed the gathering.

Tara Prakashchandra Shetty, trustee and others were present on the occasion.
