Udupi: MLA Bharath Shetty needs urgent psychiatric treatment - Vinaya Kumar Sorake

Media Release

Udupi, Jul 9: "Bharath Shetty, MLA, who is making statements that suggest paranoia, needs urgent medical attention," said Vinaya Kumar Sorake, former MLA.

Vinaya Kumar Sorake, former MLA and spokesperson for Karnataka Congress, responded to Bharath Shetty's statements about Rahul Gandhi in a press release: "Rahul Gandhi, the opposition party leader, has spoken in parliament about BJP leaders' violent tendencies and communal hatred, likening them to a thunderbolt striking the BJP leaders. Conscious voters have shown the power of the constitution by curbing the dictatorial regime."

"MLA Bharath Shetty's statements confirm that he has been mentally disturbed and is wishing to humiliate Rahul Gandhi in parliament. He claims to be a doctor, yet he is acting uneducated and making statements that seem paranoid. He urgently needs proper psychiatric treatment."

Vinaya Kumar Sorake condemned the BJP's statements against Rahul Gandhi, highlighting that his references to Hindu dignity, non-violence, tolerance, and equality in parliament were being misrepresented as derogatory and anti-democratic by BJP.

Sorake criticized Bharath Shetty's conduct and statements, accusing him of being unfit for the role of legislator due to his immature behavior and irresponsible remarks.

Sorake further stated that if Bharath Shetty continues with such irresponsible behavior and tendencies towards violence, Congress workers are prepared to consistently provide an appropriate response.
