Mangaluru: Dr M L Dhawale Memorial Oration, 'POTENTIA 2024' held at FMHMC

Mangaluru, Jul 13: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College (FMHMC) hosted an academically exuberant platform for undergraduates, interns, and postgraduates for presenting their research paper. This year, the 3rd edition of Dr M L Memorial Dhawale Oration and POTENTIA ‘24, along with the Muller's Young Research Award was organised under the umbrella of Dr ML Dhawale Oration from July 11 to 13.

The Muller’s Young Researcher Award witnessed paper presentations from students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College on July 11.

POTENTIA 2024 was officially flagged off by the Management on July 12, which featured Research paper and poster presentations from undergraduates, postgraduates, and interns from across India. The audience witnessed a series of academic and research activities highlighting the talents and efforts of participants nationwide.

The inaugural program of the Dr M L Dhawale Memorial Oration was held on July 13. Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, principal welcomed the gathering. The chief guest for the event was Dr Sangeeta A Duggal, advisor (Homoeopathy) from the ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, who delivered an insightful message on the occasion. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, presided over the programme and addressed the gathering.

Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, designate director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions and administrator, FMHMC congratulated the winners and conveyed to keep up the research work in Homoeopathic system of medicine.

The winners of the various competitions were awarded with prizes.

Winners of Research Paper Presentation:

1st Prize – Hetvi Gunchala, Rajkot Homoeopathic Medical College
2nd Prize – L Swetha Sri Varma, MNR Homoeopathic Medical College
3rd Prize – Uday Chentanbhai Chandrana, L R Shah Homoeopathic Medical College

Winners of Research Poster Presentation:

1st Prize – T Udayasree, MNR Homoeopathic Medical College
2nd Prize – Sonam Raj Kumar Gupta, Ahemdabad Homoeopathic Medical College
3rd Prize – Kaliya Falguni Hardevbhai, Rajkot Homoeopathic Medical College

A K Devika, final year student of Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College was awarded as the winner for Muller’s Young Researcher Award 2024.

On this occasion the logo of Ruby Jubilee was symbolically unveiled marking the 40years of excellence in Homoeopathic education, Research and Patient care.

Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, administrator, FMHPD, Fr Ashwin Lawrence Crasta, Asst. administrator, FMHMC, Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, principal, Dr Vilma Meera D’Souza, vice principal were also present for the inauguration.

Dr Raisa Cheriyan, convener, proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr Amogha and Dr Jessie J Geetha compered the events.

Dr Hitesh Purohit, principal of Dr Malini Kishore Sanghvi Homoeopathic Medical College in Baroda and member of the national commission for homoeopathy, New Delhi, served as the keynote speaker and shared his valuable perspectives with the audience.
