Mangaluru, Jul 13: The Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi District Muslim Central Committee held a felicitation ceremony for Ivan D'Souza, who has been elected as a Member of the Legislative Council for the second time. The event took place at the residence of the committee's president and former MLC, Haji K S Mohammad Masood.

During the ceremony, Haji K S Mohammad Masood and other members of the Muslim Central Committee honoured Ivan D'Souza. In his speech, Ivan D'Souza acknowledged the committee's longstanding efforts in raising its voice against injustices faced by the Muslim community and instilling courage in people. He praised the leadership and guidance provided by senior leader Masood, calling it a matter of pride.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Ibrahim Kodijal, S M Rashid Haji, B M Mumtaz Ali, former mayor Ashraf, central committee general secretary Haji Mohammad Hanif, Dr Arif Masood, and others.
