Bantwal: Car crashes into compound wall of Mescom substation – Driver injured

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Jul 14: A car traveling from B C Road to Mangaluru crashed into the compound wall of the 110/11 KV substation at B C Road Talapady on Saturday morning after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The driver sustained minor injuries. No case has been filed at the Bantwal traffic police station regarding the incident.

The spot where the mishap occurred is known to be dangerous. Just two days ago, another car fell into a pit after the driver lost control at the same location. High speeds on the highway, coupled with a sharp bend, often cause vehicles to lose control at this spot. Local residents, including a junior engineer working at the substation, have expressed concern about the safety of waiting for buses on the roadside at this location.
