Sullia, Jul 15: Heavy rains in the hilly Kadaba taluk of Dakshina Kannada district have resulted in the closure of the bathing ghat at Kumaradhara in Kukke Subrahmanya.

In the Western Ghats, including Kumaraparvatha, heavy rainfall has led to the second closure this year of the Kumaradhara bathing ghat.

The Kumaradhara dam has reached full capacity, prompting cautionary advice against river entry for devotees.

Due to persistent rainfall, Kumaradhara river is flowing at its peak, with its tributaries also overflowing.

Security personnel and lifeguards are stationed along the banks of Kumaradhara river.
