Mangaluru: Altercation between software company drivers - Attempted murder case filed

Mangaluru, Jul 18: An altercation between two drivers working for a software company in the Kavoor police station limits escalated into violence ate evening on Wednesday July 17.

Sandeep, a driver, was attacked by four individuals: Thejas Shetty, Bhavith Shetty, Preetam, and Puneet Devadiga. Thejas Shetty, who also works as a driver for the same company, had an ongoing dispute with Sandeep.

After completing their shift on Wednesday, Thejas Shetty, along with his brother and two associates, confronted Sandeep while he was on his way back home. They assaulted Sandeep with a sharp-edged weapon, causing injuries to his head and other areas. Sandeep has been admitted to a private hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.

The cause of the altercation is yet to be ascertained.

An attempt to murder case is being registered at Kavoor police station along with other relevant sections, and an investigation has been initiated.
