Kundapur, Jul 19: Due to road closures caused by landslides, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Kotha Srinivas Poojary has written to the General Manager of South Western Railways, requesting the initiation of a special night train between Kundapur and Bengaluru via the Padil bypass to reconnect Bengaluru and Udupi district.

Thousands of travelers who rely on road transport between Kundapur and Bengaluru are struggling due to landslides and the closure of multiple roads.

The MP's letter emphasizes the need for a special night train to facilitate travel between these two key locations by connecting Udupi and Kundapur to Bengaluru via the Padil Bypass.

Earlier, the Kundapur Railway Passengers' Welfare Committee had requested MP Kotha Srinivas Poojary to start a special night train from Bengaluru to Karwar.
