Mangaluru: Ladyhill Victoria High School celebrates feast of Mount Carmel

Mangaluru, Jul 20: The feast of Mother of Mount Carmel celebration at Ladyhill Victoria high school was a vibrant and culturally rich event, held to honour Mother of Mount Carmel. The event began with a solemn prayer service, invoking blessings and grace on the gathering.

Students and faculty members participated in the service creating an atmosphere of reverence and devotion. Following the prayer service a welcome speech was delivered by Shanvitha to officially inaugurate the event. The speech expressed gratitude to everyone present and emphasized the importance of celebrating Mount Carmel feast as a symbol of faith and community spirit.

A presentation on the significance of Mount Carmel feast was made, elucidating its historical and religious importance. A theatrical skit was performed depicting the challenges faced at Mount Carmel, showcasing narratives of perseverance and spiritual growth. The skit resonated with the themes of overcoming adversity through faith and determination. A dance performance dedicated to Mother Mary enthralled the audience, portraying grace, and reverence towards the patron Mount Carmel.

Another skit celebrated the universal theme of mother’s love, drawing parallels with Mother Mary’s nature and compassionate nature. It conveyed heartfelt emotions and resonated the audience’s sentiments. A melodious song in honour of Mother Mary set the tone for the event.

The chief guest Sr Pushpa AC spoke passionately about the significance of the Mount Carmel feast, highlighting its spiritual importance and historical background. The programme culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks Anam, expressing gratitude to all participants, organisers and attendees for their presence and contribution to the event.
