Udupi: District BJP unit holds special executive committee meeting

Udupi, Jul 20: The BJP Udupi district unit held a special executive committee meeting on Saturday, July 20, at the Prakriti auditorium, Hotel Sharada International, Bannanje, Udupi.

Cement Manju, president of SC Morcha State and MLA of Sakleshpura, inaugurated the meeting, emphasising BJP's goal of making India a 'Vishwa Guru' under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He criticised the Congress-led state government for alleged governance failures, citing increased costs for basic services.

MLC Dhananjay Sarji highlighted the pivotal role of BJP workers in the party's achievements and reiterated India's potential to achieve global leadership. He also criticised the Congress for what he described as mismanagement and ineffective policy implementation.

Kishore Kumar Kundapura, president of District BJP, addressed concerns over peace and criticized the state government's policy implementation.

The meeting started with the singing of Vande Mataram and paid tribute to deceased party workers with floral offerings to the portrait of Bharat Mata. Dr. Dhananjay Sarji, MLC, was felicitated during the event.

Dinakar Shetty welcomed the attendees, and Uday Kotian proposed the vote of thanks.

Among those present were Uday Kumar Shetty, convener, Gururaj Gantihole, MLA, Kiran Kumar Kodgi, MLA of Kundapura, Kuilady Suresh Nayak, former president of District BJP, Pramod Madhwaraj, BJP leader, and Lalaji R Medon, former MLA.
