Udupi, Jul 20: Yashpal Suvarna, MLA of Udupi, criticised inefficiencies at the Udupi Urban Development Authority during a public interaction session held on Saturday, July 20. He emphasised the need for prioritizing public service and addressing delays in processing applications.

"Authorities at the Udupi Urban Development Authority must prioritise serving the people. Delays in processing public applications should be accompanied by valid reasons, without prolonging the wait unnecessarily," stated Suvarna.

He also announced plans to implement an online application system to streamline processes and enhance convenience for applicants. This system will notify applicants promptly when their applications are processed, facilitating quicker document retrieval.

During the session, concerns were raised by senior citizens regarding delays and prolonged waiting times. Suvarna assured them that their issues would be addressed promptly.

The meeting was attended by Gururaj Tahsiladar, Mahesh Chandra, commissioner of Udupi Urban Development Authority, Ramya, town planning member, Firoz, urban planner, and other officials.
