Mangaluru: Ladyhill Victoria Composite PU College students attend workshop on 'leader imprints'

Mangaluru, Jul 20: To build leadership quality among the teenagers, a group of 10 students chosen from the the Ladyhill Victoria Composite PU College's student council attended a day-long workshop on 'Leader Imprints' organised by Swastika National Business School under the chairmanship of Dr Raghavendra Holla.

The programme commenced with a soulful prayer song led by the students. The first session was taken over by JCI PPP National trainer Dr Sreejil, wherein he emphasised on the topic '10X leadership'. He impelled the students to action by persuasion, influence, power and appealed to legitimate right. A true leader communicates, persuades, motivates, guides, leads and informs his subordinates and followers.

The second session was taken over by JFD National Trainer Shyma Chandrasekharan who highlighted on the topic 'Smart Heart Leadership'. She articulated that leaders should focus primarily on decision making, problem solving and most importantly vision towards attaining success. When it comes to a leader within an organisation the leaders also need to be 'smart leaders'. 

In addition to this, the students were placed in different teams and various activities were carried out to bring about the leadership qualities in them. Ahana P S won the best outstanding participant and expressed her views on how the workshop motivated and gave a new zeal and enthusiasm as she had embarked on a new responsibility as a member of the college student council. The workshop was a resounding success.
