Mangaluru: ICYM Permude organises the campaign ‘One Family One Tree’

Mangaluru, Jul 21: ICYM along with the Witness and Environment Commissions started a movement called ‘One Family One Tree ' Campaign which was inaugurated at St John the Baptist Church, Permude.

In the inaugural speech, Fr Ronald Pinto, the parish priest called each family to plant a tree and to take care of it. He also said this movement will be an example for the children and for society. The chief guest Fr Vijay Machado, diocesan director of Mangal Jyothi distributed the plants to the youth and asked them to take care of it as their own.

Henry D'Cunha, vice-president, Dolphy Pinto, the secretary, Vinod Pinto, coordinator of all commissions, Henry Fernandes, Environment Commission secretary, ICYM animators Roshan Rodrigues and Vineeta Tauro and ICYM president Sony Neha D’Souza were present for the programme. Vinisha D’Souza, ICYM secretary hosted the programme.
