New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS): Vijay Mallya-led Kingfisher Airlines Thursday said that it has entered into a frequent flyer agreement with American Airlines.
"This is yet another step towards strengthening the strong bilateral ties between the two airlines," said Anshu Sarin, vice president - Guest Loyalty and Kingfisher Holidays, Kingfisher Airlines.
According to Sarin, the agreement would not only benefit frequent flyers to redeem points but also to companies whose executives travel frequently.
"Frequent flyers from the corporate sector will now be able to accumulate frequent flyer points and have the flexibility of being able to redeem their accumulated miles for any flight of American Airlines anywhere in the world," Sarin said.
The airline said that frequent flyers on American Airlines' flight would be able to redeem their points on Kingfisher's network.
"American Airlines' frequent flyers will be able to enjoy similar reciprocal benefits on the Kingfisher Airlines route network," said Sarin.
The company further said that its members will be able to earn frequent flyer points even when they fly on American Airlines flights anywhere in the world.
Kingfisher Airlines is a member-elect of the airline alliance, 'OneWorld', of which American Airlines is a founder member.
