Udupi, Jul 24: “Congress has appointed an ‘irresponsible’ in-charge minister to Udupi," said Kishore Kumar, president Udupi district BJP.

Kishore Kumar, addressing the media at Udupi district BJP office on July 24, criticized the delayed visit by Udupi in-charge minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar and said, “Udupi has seen heavy rainfall for a week, causing huge loss, but Lakshmi Hebbalkar visited after the intensity of rain reduced.”

Kishore Kumar referring to remarks made by a former Congress MLA of Kaup said, “The Congress came to power by giving promises, but now they are not able to fulfil them. Former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake has stated that Kaup and Karkala MLAs are useless. I am questioning that when the Congress MLAs cannot secure funds for their constituency, then how can they blame BJP MLAs for the same? The Congress representatives themselves are struggling to obtain necessary funds.”

Kishore Kumar accused the Congress of resorting to constant criticism of the BJP and the central government without presenting substantial achievement of their own. “The Congress is in such a dire situation; therefore, they are criticizing the BJP,” he said.

Dinakar Shetty, general secretary, Divakar Shetty, Shivakumar, Ragavendra and others were present in the press meet.
