Bengaluru: KCA organises 'Latte with the Ladies'

Media Release

Bengaluru, Jul 25: KCA (Kanara Catholic Association) Bangalore ladies took the morning to a whole new level of joie de vivre at the Konkan Samudhai Bhavan here, on July 14 at their flagship 'Latte with the Ladies'. The coffee morning that has seen an overwhelming response is a testament to the bonding and vivacious celebration of togetherness by the KCA women.

With the Hawaiian colours and decor in full splendour, the vibe was rightly set for a luau as the emcee of the day, Kavitha Rego, welcomed everyone with a special song and piqued the interest by sharing an overview of what was in store. In her welcome note, KCA vice president, Shanti Peres charmingly urged everyone to participate actively in the KCA ladies events and heralded the start of the morning excitement. Luvena Rangel followed up with a celebratory announcement of the KCA Ladies’ Lounge. She also launched the new benefits programme for KCA membership card holders with exclusive offers at an array of restaurants, service, and products.

A flash mob to the tune of ‘I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts’ performed by the KCA committee, accompanied by coconut shells, quickly drew all the guests to the floor to join in the fun. The much-awaited housie, led by Louella D’Souza drew great excitement – the winning streaks were infectious and so was the applause! The game of musical chairs with a twist, orchestrated by Savitha Gonsalves & Louella – including task to complete before grabbing the chair – was a great energizer, complete with laughter, selfies, hugs, and friendly competition.

The highlight of the morning was a surprise ramp walk for the super seniors. The chutzpah and attitude by the trailblazers was a joy and inspiration to witness as they sashayed across the hall to loud cheers. To cool off, chuckle-worthy quizzes were distributed to engage as a group activity and quickly saw teams fill in the answers after deep thought. The delicious lunch, meticulously curated by Lunita Pais D’Sa, brought in the succulent flavours of Mangalurean cuisine keeping our culture on the fore. The thrill-filled morning culminated in more music and dancing, and the ubiquitous baila that had everyone tapping their toes.

The colourful photo booth and table decor that were painstakingly handmade by the committee members were an enormous success as one can tell from the photographs captured. The exquisite candles that the guests took back home were artistically sealed with the 'Latte with the Ladies’ logo and elicited sweet smiles of appreciation all round. The morning promised fun, games, dancing, and delicious food. It also assured relationships, laughter and strengthened bonds. KCA delivered it all in style.

KCA committee was thanked for their energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and collaborative spirit to deliver yet another member event with graceful flawlessness. Jane Pereira, who oversaw the entire event from conception to execution, was meticulous down to the minutest detail. The unwavering support of the KCA president Adrian D’Souza to constantly push the needle to greater heights was also highlighted.

Committee members Reena Serrao – registration, Coreen D’Souza, Jeffry Crasta, Naomi Rasquinha, Prajwal Mathias, and Rowan Pais – decor, and prizes, Luvena Rangel and Savitha Gonsalves – music, Savitha Gonsalves and Louella D'Souza – games and Ajay Fernandes – payment portal and coordination, were thanked for their support towards the successful event.
