Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 25: Mandala art is a geometric design or pattern that represents the deities in various heavenly worlds. It is also about finding peace in the symmetry of the design and of the universe. In the ancient Sanskrit language of Hinduism and Buddhism, Mandala means circle. Drawing Mandalas can be so relaxing, it reduces stress fostering creativity, it enhances focus and concentration and providing an inner sense of peace and balance.

Ladyhill Victoria girls’ composite PU college organised the Mandala art competition on July 24 in biology lab. This competition was held to provide an opportunity for the students to showcase their creativity in their own unique way.

Students of all classes actively participated in the competition. The criteria for judgement was based on the interpretation of the theme, level of creativity and originality and the quality of the art work. The competition was held successfully. Swathi was in-charge of the competition.
