Chaturmasa observance begins at Sri Satyadhyana Vidya Peetha in Mulund

Mumbai (RBI), Jul 25: The Chaturmasa observance of Sri Vedavardhanatheertha, the head of the Udupi Shiruru Math and future pontiff of the Shiruru Math, commenced today at the Sri Satyadhyana Vidya Peetha in Mulund, Mumbai.

The annual Mahabhisheka of Lord Vithala, along with the deity Rukmini and Satyabhama, was performed in the presence of devotees as part of the Chaturmasa rituals.

During the ritualistic period, the Sri will perform religious rites, including offering of Arghya and Padyadi, and take the Chaturmasa Vrata (vow). Daily religious discourses, bhajans, and cultural programs are scheduled throughout the period.

Special services were conducted for the deity by Sri Vidyasimacharya and Sri Satyadhyanacharya of the Uttaradi Math. The event was attended by Dr Udaykumar Saralattaya, the Diwan of the Math, and other notable guests including Shree Kadegaar, a patron of the Math.
