Udupi: Severe wind causes extensive damage at Shri Krishna Math

Udupi, Jul 26: Late on the night of July 25, severe winds caused significant damage at Shri Krishna Math. Portions of the Brindavan area were blown away, leading to considerable destruction within the temple complex.

The heavy wind caused significant destruction in the surrounding area. The roof of a nearby hotel, located close to the Rajangana, was torn off by the high winds. Also the roof of the dedicated pathway for devotees leading to the temple was damaged, with the wind sweeping away sections of the roof.

A tree in Rajangana surrounding was uprooted, causing minor damage in the region. The authorities responded promptly, removing the fallen tree and blowing off the roof from the area.
