Udupi, Jul 26: “Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MLA, responsible for BJP MLAs not getting grants”, alleged Kishore Kumar Kundapur, president, Udupi district BJP.
Kishore Kumar Kundapur, addressing the media at the Press Club on Friday, July 26, said, “Former MLA Vinaya Kumar, who has been rejected by the people of Kapu assembly constituency twice in a row, had contested calling it his last election. Instead of retiring with dignity, he is doing petty politics with the malicious intent of hiding the bankruptcy and scandals of the Congress-led state government, and is running low-level slander against the popular MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty of Kapu constituency.”
Kishore Kumar, expressed outrage and said, “Vinay Kumar Sorake must give details about grants released by the chief minister to Congress MLAs and then explain why BJP MLAs are being criticized. They implemented the guarantee scheme without any blue print, leading to increasing the price of petrol, milk, and other products.”
Kishore Kumar accused Sorake and said, “When the city municipality is asked to do development works, they claim that they do not have funds. Along with Gurme they are also spreading wrong information about Sunil Kumar and divert public attention.”
“Although Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty has put in sincere efforts by calling the concerned ministers and officials to provide a suitable solution for the offshore issues during the last one and a half years, the fact that the state government, which is riddled with scandals, has not sanctioned even a single penny. BJP can give a befitting reply if the former MLA continues to make nonsensical statements just for the sake of publicity,” said Kishore Kumar.
On the topic of the Parashurama Theme Park, Kumar defended the BJP's handling of the project, stating that it was initially budgeted at Rs 11 crores, with Rs 6 crores allocated for infrastructure. He criticized the Congress government for taking over a year to suspend the authorities responsible for the project while shifting blame on BJP.
