Udupi: Free medicinal plants distribution held at Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences

Udupi, Jul 26: On the eve of Gurupoornima and Vanamahotsava, the Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal, organized a free medicinal plants distribution program for the public of Udupi district on July 22.

The program was jointly inaugurated by Yogeesh Shetty, administrative officer, and Suprasad Shetty, office superintendent.

Approximately 3,000 saplings, including Bael tree, Kokum, Indian Gooseberry, Neem, and other medicinally important plants, were distributed to more than 300 ayurvedic and eco enthusiasts.

Dr Chandrakanth Bhat, Dr Archana Kalluraya from the Dept of Dravyaguna, and Dr Namitha S N, co-officer NSS, were present on the occasion.
