Sullia: Landslide on railway track near Subrahmanya causes panic among passengers

Sullia, Jul 26: A landslide on the railway track near Subrahmanya caused panic among passengers on Friday, July 26 at approximately 6:56 PM. The soil erosion occurred between Yedakumeri and Kadagaravalli sections, leading to the diversion and regulation of several train services.

The affected train services are as follows:

  1. Train No. 16595 KSR Bengaluru – Karwar Panchaganga Super-Fast Express, journey commencing on 26.07.2024, will be diverted/regulated.
  2. Train No. 16596 Karwar - KSR Bengaluru Panchaganga Super-Fast Express, journey commencing on 26.07.2024, will be diverted/regulated.
  3. Train No. 16586 Murdeshwar – SMVT Bengaluru Express, journey commencing on 26.07.2024, will be diverted/regulated.
  4. Train No. 16512 Kannur – KSR Bengaluru Express, journey commencing on 26.07.2024, will be diverted/regulated.

Relief materials and rescue teams are present on-site, and restoration works are currently in progress.













Senior officers, including Arvind Srivastava, General Manager, K S Jain, Additional General Manager, and principal heads of departments, are closely monitoring the situation. Shilpi Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager of Mysuru, is supervising the restoration efforts.

Passengers are advised to stay updated with the latest information on train services and cooperate with railway authorities during this period.
