Mangaluru: 'Pulse 2024’ mega talent hunt held at St Aloysius PU College

Mangaluru, Jul 27: Exhibiting talents allows individuals to express their unique creativity and connect with their heritage. Platforms, such as talent hunts and cultural competitions, are essential for recognizing and celebrating the diverse abilities within the student community. They foster a sense of pride, unity, and accomplishment among participants while promoting cultural preservation and appreciation. With the theme ‘Where talents take flight’, PULSE,  an inter-class talent hunt was organized at St Aloysius PU College in the month of July.

Pulse 2024 was inaugurated and the logo was unveiled in the presence of the principal, Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, Vilma Fernandes, the vice principal of commerce and arts, and Kiran Shetty, dean of Science.

Students showcased their hidden talents and intrinsic skills through various competitions such as Cartoon Drawing, English Pick and Speak, Hindi Poetry Writing, Kannada Mono Act, Bharathanatyam, Soap Carving, Cricket Commentary and Photography. Group competitions such as Fusion Singing, Treasure Hunt, Make Your Dress, Rangoli and Nail Art enabled students to display team spirit. PULSE- 2024 concluded with a colourful and lively variety entertainment competition.

The winners of the competitions and student convenors were felicitated on the final day of the event by the principal Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, campus minister, Fr Derrick Antony SJ, vice principals and deans. In his address on the occasion, the principal appreciated the students for their participation in these events and congratulated the students on their exceptional performances. He explained how God has endowed us with skills and potentials and through practice one becomes perfect.
