Udupi, Jul 27: MLA Yashpal Suvarna visited the protest site at the Udupi District Commissioner's office, where members of the Koraga Development Associations Federation Karnataka-Kerala, are demonstrating. The Koraga community is demanding job security and the issuance of agricultural land rights documents.

During his visit, Suvarna engaged with community leaders and expressed his support for their demands, deeming them just and valid. He assured the community of his commitment to addressing their issues diligently.

Suvarna noted that the protest had already been brought to the government's attention through Speaker U T Khader. Although he had planned to raise the issue during the zero hour of the recently concluded legislative assembly session, the session was adjourned on Thursday, preventing further discussion.

He announced that on Monday, July 29, he would meet with district officials and key community members to discuss their demands. Suvarna also stated that he and all MLAs from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada would soon meet with the chief minister to advocate for the community's needs.
