Mangaluru, Jul 28: Vinay Kulkarni, the MLA of Dharwad constituency and former minister, visited the Koragajja Daiva shrine at Thokkottu Junction on Saturday, where he offered Harake Kola to fulfill his ambitions.
Speaking to the media, Vinay said, “My friends from Mangaluru had asked me to offer Kola Seve before the Assembly elections. Now the muhurat has arrived, so I offered the prayer service along with my family.”
MLA Kulkarni’s family and Iftikar Ali, a member of the Rajiv Gandhi State Allied and Health Care, participated in the Kola. Vinay is accused in the murder of BJP district panchayat member Yogesh Gowda. Consequently, a CBI court has barred Vinay from entering the Dharwad constituency. Despite this restriction, he won the last election without visiting the constituency. The case is currently under inquiry in court, and the ban on his entry to Dharwad constituency continues. Vinay’s participation in the Kola Seve has raised curiosity among state politicians as his inquiry is scheduled for next month.
Koragajja assured Vinay that his ban on entering Dharwad constituency would be withdrawn within 48 days. The Daiva also advised Vinay to be careful for the next three years and mentioned that all his hardships were due to a woman. Koragajja Daiva assured happiness in Vinay's life and asked him to offer a Kola Seve with happiness once all his obstacles are cleared.
