Beltangady, Jul 28: Trees and mud that had fallen in three places, including the 10th bend on Charmady ghat due to heavy rains on the night of July 26, were removed, allowing vehicle movement to resume on Saturday.

Vehicle movement was temporarily stopped on Friday night at Kottigehara check post as a precaution due to a landslide on the ghat.

On Saturday morning, Beltangady tahsildar Prathvi Sanikam visited the spot and oversaw the removal of trees and mud from the 7th, 9th, 10th, and 11th curves of Charmady Ghat, allowing traffic to resume.
