Bantwal: Catholic Sabha organises felicitation, minorities facilities camp

Bantwal, Jul 28: An information camp regarding the facilities available for minorities was held at the Modankap Anugraha auditorium under the aegis of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, Bantwal zone and Dakshina Kannada District Minorities Welfare Association and corporation.

Fr Valerian D’Souza inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and said that when officers and elected representatives work with the motto of government’s work is God’s work beneficiaries will get all facilities.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik and MLC Ivan D’Souza were felicitated. Speaking as chief guest, Rajesh Naik said that he has provided grant for minorities when Yediyurappa was the CM.

Ivan D’Souza said that elected representatives have to work for the welfare of society.

Immediate past president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Stany Lobo, former president of BUDA Pius L Rodrigues, PLD bank president Arun Roshan D’Souza, district officer of Minority Welfare Department Jinendra Kotian, district manager of corporation Yashodhara J, Catholic Sabha Bantwal zone president John Lasrado, president of the programme, secretary Austin Lobo, priests of various churches, convener of community development Cyril Noronha, political convener Rayan Rodrigues and others were present on the dais.

President of Catholic Sabha Bantwal zone John Lasrado welcomed. Secretary Austin Lobo proposed a vote of thanks. Alphonse Fernandes Nirkana compered the event.
