Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Kapoor wish their co-star Dhanush ‘happiest birthday’


Mumbai, Jul 28 (IANS): On Dhanush's 41st birthday on Sunday, his co-actresses Rashmika Mandanna and Sonam Kapoor wished him “happiest birthday”.

Rashmika on Sunday took to Instagram and shared a poster of their film 'Kubera', featuring Dhanush.

The actress wrote: “Happiest birthday to you, Dhanush sir! We don’t have a picture together, and our film shoot mostly happens in areas that are not very photogenic. But I love this poster... So, with this, I wish you a happiest birthday.”

'Kubera', directed by Sekhar Kammula, marks Dhanush’s first collaboration with Rashmika.

The film also stars Tollywood actor Nagarjuna, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

Sonam, who worked with Dhanush in 'Raanjhanaa', shared a picture with him and simply wrote: “Happy Birthday, Dhanush!”

'Raanjhanaa', directed by Aanand L. Rai, was released in 2013 and also starred Abhay Deol, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Swara Bhaskar.

Over his career, Dhanush has appeared in over 50 films and has been included in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list six times.

The actor made his debut in 2002 with 'Thulluvadho Ilamai' and has since starred in several notable films such as 'Polladhavan', 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini', 'Aadukalam', 'Maryan', 'Kodi', 'Asuran', 'Vaathi', 'Maari', 'Maari 2', and 'Velaiilla Pattadhari 2'.
