Kundapur: BJP Yuva Morcha holds Kargil Vijay Divas celebrations

Kundapur, Jul 29: Orator Adarsh Gokhale emphasized the significance of patriotism and the sacrifice of soldiers, stating, “The Indian flag flutters not due to the wind but the breath of our soldiers. Celebrating Kargil Vijay Divas aims to instill these ideals, sacrifices, and patriotic thoughts in children.”

Gokhale delivered the keynote address at the torch procession and salute to brave soldiers programme organized by BJP Yuva Morcha Kundapur on the occasion of Kargil Vijayotsava 25.


































MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi flagged off the torch procession, encouraging every citizen to develop patriotism and urging youth to serve the country.

Retired soldiers Ganapati Kharvi Basrur, Havaldar Yogesh Kanchan Kota, and Sudhir H, who fought in the Kargil war, were honored at the event. Present were BJP Mandala chief secretaries Satish Poojary Vakwadi, Sudhir K S, state OBC Vittal Poojary Irodi, and BJP Yuva Morcha chief secretary Chethan Kharvi.

The event featured Shankar Ankadakatte singing ‘Vande Mataram’, an introductory speech by District BJP Yuva Morcha president Prithviraj Shetty, and a speech on the importance of Vijay Divas by Suresh Shetty Gopadi, president of Kundapur Mandala. BJP Yuva Morcha president Kiran Poojary Thekkatte welcomed attendees, and District BJP Yuva Morcha vice president Prasad Billawa compered the event. Yuva Morcha chief secretary Sampath Sherigar gave the vote of thanks.
