Mangaluru, Jul 29: St Agnes PU College hosted its much-anticipated alumni meet, ‘Hum Milenge’, - ‘A day to relive the college days with bollywood beats and reunion treats’ on July 27 with the vibrant theme of bollywood. The event began with a soulful prayer song, setting a serene tone for the evening.

The principal, Sr Norine D'Souza, extended a warm welcome to the alumni, expressing joy and excitement at their return. The student cabinet accorded a grand welcome, greeting the attendees in true bollywood style, which added an element of glamour and fun to the gathering.

The auditorium was decorated to reflect the bollywood theme, with colorful and vibrant decorations reminiscent of classic and contemporary Bollywood movies, creating an immersive and festive atmosphere.

The cultural performances were a highlight of the evening, showcasing the incredible talents of the alumni. Hindi medley by Shainy and Calida took the audience on a nostalgic journey through popular bollywood songs. Kushi and her team brought the Bollywood theme to life dancing to the trendy Bollywood hits. Sherryl, Alice, and Paloma gave a melodious and lively rendition. Deeyan with her graceful moves captured the audience attention. The dance by Ananya and team with vibrant energy left the audience spellbound.

The mystery reveal game was the Bollywood ramp. The alumni were invited to attend the get together in the attire representing their favourite Bollywood character. Smrithi, who represented Gangubai won the Best dressed Bollywood character. The Alumni representing various Bollywood characters walked the ramp along with the proud alumna - the cine actress Wencita Dias. She had won the title ‘Miss Teen Karnataka -2019' and ‘Miss Teen World Super Model – Global – 2019'. Wencita, in her address, reminisced her pre-university college days and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her alma mater for nurturing her talents and providing unwavering support.

In addition to the cultural events, there were theme based photo booths and batch-wise photo sessions, allowing alumni to capture memories of the joyous occasion.

The event was organized efficiently by ‘Agnosphere’ - the alumni committee co-ordinators Venitia, Carol, Liekitha and Venessa. It was witnessed by the principal Sr Norine D'Souza, vice principal Sr Janet Sequeira, and the esteemed staff of St Agnes PU College.

Sweedel proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a grand success. The event was masterfully compered by Zyma and Gowthami, who kept the audience engaged and entertained throughout. They also conducted interactive games that fostered a sense of camaraderie and fun among the attendees. The evening concluded with a lively mass dance, bringing everyone together in celebration and joy.

HUM MILENGE was a memorable evening filled with laughter, music, dance, and a strong sense of community, truly embodying the spirit of Bollywood.
