Mangaluru: St Agnes College conducts seminar on 'Aerodynamiks & Cyber security'

Mangaluru, Jul 29: A seminar on “Aerodynamiks and Cyber security” was organized by St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru on Monday, July 29 at Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Auditorium.

Sr Roopa AC, vice principal, the faculty members and all the II year degree students attended the programme. The speakers were Sudhir G Amin, and Dr Pattathil Dhanya Menon.

The session began with an invocation by the college choir. Aileen Nataleen D’Rozario, public relations officer, St Agnes College was the co-ordinator and compere of the programme who introduced the speakers.

The speakers delved on various aspects of “In-flight & Airport Management” and “Cyber security” as per the current requirements and discussed on the courses offered under these topics.

Amin spoke on the course details offered by Aerodynamiks Academy both in Cabin Crew and Ground Staff management which included Announcement, English Communication and Interactive Skills, Grooming, Personality Development and Confidence Building, Interview Handling Skills, Swimming and Basic First-Aid Techniques and Rescue Operations, Emergency Procedure, Table Manners, Airport Ground Service Management, Customer Service Management, Passenger Bag Handling, Cargo Operations, Airside Safety & Aviation Security and the job opportunities in Aviation industry.

Dr Menon discussed on the various aspects of “Cyber security” and discussed on how to follow one's passion in Cyber Security, the job opportunities in Cybercrime industry and the various courses offered around this topic. She stressed on how the social media data can be misused and advised on how to remain cautious with the data shared in and around social media.

The event was followed by an interactive Q&A session and was concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Aileen.
