Udupi: Team Nation First to host third annual training camp ‘Yoddha 2024’, blood donation drive

Udupi, Jul 29: Team Nation First will host its third annual training camp, ‘Yoddha 2024,’ at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium, Ajjarkadu, from August 3 to August 18, along with a blood donation drive on August 3.

Dr Athul, vice president of Team Nation First, addressed the media at a press meet on July 29, stating, “The free training camp is open to all aspirants of the Indian armed forces, with as many as 120 participants expected. The camp will commence with a formal inauguration by the MLA on August 3. As part of the event, the organization, in collaboration with the blood bank of Kasturba Hospital, will organize a blood donation camp. This initiative aims to address the blood shortage caused by the recent dengue outbreak in the district.”

Dr Athul also shared details about the camp: “The main aim of the camp is to encourage, mentor, and train coastal youth to join the Indian defense forces. The last date for registration is August 2. The camp will provide free food and accommodation for participants. Certified and experienced physical trainers will teach yoga and provide physical training to the participants. Participants from all over Karnataka are welcome to join the training camp.”

The organization takes pride in having successfully facilitated the entry of around 36 camp participants into the defense forces over the past years. Candidates must be aged 18 to 22 years, medically fit, and have an SSLC qualification with a minimum 45 percent aggregate. For male candidates, chest measurements should be 80 to 85 cm, weight at least 50 kg, and height at least 168 cm. For female candidates, the minimum weight is 45 kg and height is 157 cm.

Suraj Kedioor, president of Team Nation First, and P B Ranganatha were also present at the press meet.
