Mangaluru, Jul 30: A tragic accident occurred under the Konaje police station limits on the night of Sunday, resulting in the death of a scooter rider and leaving his family bereaved.

Seetharama (45), a resident of Innolipadavu, is the unfortunate victim of this mishap. He had visited Asaigoli with a friend on Sunday night. While returning home, he lost control of his scooter near Pajir Old Church and fell into a pothole. Seetharama was thrown from the vehicle and suffered a severe head injury when he crashed against a compound wall. He was taken to a private hospital in Deralakatte and then rushed to another hospital due to the severity of his injuries, but he succumbed a short time later.

Seetharama is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. Known for his mild nature and sociable personality, he worked as a supervisor and often donned a tiger costume during Navaratri. He was the pillar of his family, who are now left orphaned by his sudden death.

Om shanti to the departed soul. "Seeing the potholes, unscientific roads, and traffic rules here, it feels like public lives have no value. Elected MPs and MLAs are only after seats and money. If someone loses their life, what do they lose?”

Helmet was just worn to avoid penalty of the traffic and not worn to avoid death which caused his life. RIP to the deceased.
