Bantwal: Deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan inspects flooded areas as heavy rainfall continues

Bantwal, Jul 31: With heavy rainfall persisting in the taluk, deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan conducted an urgent inspection of flood-affected areas on Wednesday, July 31. Accompanied by officials, Muhilan assessed the damage and responded to local concerns.

He instructed officials to ensure continuous monitoring of flood-prone areas and ordered the relocation of residents from affected zones. Relief centres were also set up to assist those displaced by the flooding.

Muhilan assured that comprehensive support would be provided to residents in relief centres until conditions improve. He visited key locations including Bantwal, Aladka, and Uppinangadi to evaluate the situation.

Mangaluru sub-divisional officer Harshvardhan, Bantwal Taluk officer Achyutha Bhat, and other officials joined the inspection.
