Mysuru, Aug 3: Top of leaders of opposition BJP and JDS, including Union minister H D Kumaraswamy, State BJP President B Y Vijayendra and his father B S Yediyruappa as well as BJP opposition leader in Assembly R Ashok and others, who undertook the joint padayatra against the alleged corruption of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the MUDA scam have described their padayatra as not a political fight but a war against corruption.
“We are voicing the anger of 6.5 crore Kannadigas over the alleged corruption of the Chief Minister. This is a silent struggle and a fight for truth,” declared Ashok.
Ashok asked Siddaramaiah to quit if he has a little bit of morality and conscience. “There is still time to salvage your reputation. If you don’t repent and resign, you will not get another opportunity to atone for his misdeeds.”
JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy, Ashok, Vijayendra, Yediyurappa and Union Minister Prahlad Joshi were among the leaders who attended the inaugural function of the padayatra. BJP and JDS legislators also joined.
