Kundapur, Aug 3: In a tragic accident on Friday, August 2, in the evening, a scooter rider was killed after his vehicle was struck by a truck and subsequently run over near Suresh's residence in Hiliyan village, Brahmavara taluk. The incident highlights the dangers on local roads.
The victim, Nagaraj (41), was heading towards Kundapur on his scooter when a truck travelling from Goliangadi to Haladi hit him.
The collision caused Nagaraj to fall onto the road, where the truck’s rear left wheel ran over his head. The impact resulted in fatal head injuries and brain damage, leading to his death at the scene.
The Shankaranarayana police have registered a case.
