Shivamogga, Aug 4: The Diocese of Shimoga has lost another priest, Fr Paul D’Souza (51), who hailed from St Peter’s Church, Gonibeedu, Chikkamagaluru.
Fr Paul had been suffering from liver-related issues for the past few years. On August 3, he breathed his last at Fr Muller’s Hospital in Mangaluru at 9:40 pm.
Born on December 10, 1972, he was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Shimoga on May 4, 2004. He served as assistant parish priest of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga, parish priest of St Anthony’s Church, Sharavathinagar, Shivamogga, and as parish priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Manger, and correspondent of Assumption School, Hiriyur.
His funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga, at 10:30 am.
