Udupi, Aug 4: Udupi–Chikkamagaluru MP Kota Srinivas Poojary has directed NHAI officials to expedite the repair work on the Santhekatte underpass road.

Chairing a meeting with senior NHAI officials at the Udupi DC office, Kota Srinivas Poojary instructed them to apply wet mix to the road daily and commence repair work immediately after the rains cease.

He also ordered a revision of the Ambalpady underpass project plan to extend its width.

Furthermore, the NHAI officials were directed to begin work on the Indrali railway bridge within 15 days, without any further delays.

NHAI officials informed that the land acquisition for the Malpe-Adi Udupi road is in its final stages, and subsequent work will commence immediately.

MLAs Yashpal Suvarna, Gurme Suresh Shetty, Kiran Kodgi, district commissioner Dr K Vidyakumari, RO P V Brahmanakar, land acquisition officers, engineers, and other concerned department officials were present.
