Udupi: Accused absconding since 29 years arrested

Udupi, Aug 4: Manipal police arrested an accused who was absconding for 29 years, and produced him to the court.

Krishna Bhandary, a native of Kundapur, is the arrested accused. Accused was involved in assault of a person in 1995 when the latter was going home. Krishna and his accomplices hit the victim with iron rods. Krishna was the third accused in the case and never attended any court hearing.

Krishna was apprehended by HC Prasanna and Imran under the directions of inspector Devaraj from Kundapur.
