Mangaluru: University partners with private bus owners for study on local transport services

Mangaluru, Aug 4: Mangalore University has signed an agreement with the Private Bus Owners’ Association of Dakshina Kannada district to conduct a study on the public service provided by private buses in the region.

The primary objective of this research is to analyse and present statistical data on the private bus services in the coastal districts, both within India and internationally. The study aims to underscore the importance of these buses as an integral part of daily life in the twin districts.

Vice-chancellor PL Dharma has assigned the project to the commerce department. Discussions have already taken place with Aziz Parthppadi, Dilraj Alva, and Ramachandra Pilar, key members of the Private Bus Owners’ association.
