Bengaluru, Aug 5: In a thrilling showcase of young athletic talent, Nihal Kamal, representing the Dakshina Kannada District Khelo India team, captured the silver medal in the 100-meter race in the under 16 age category at the Karnataka State Level Kids Athletics Meet 2024. The prestigious event was organized by the Karnataka Athletics Association and took place at the renowned Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

Nihal, the son of Kamal and Raheena, residents of Mohtisham Fernhill Nanthur, is a student of class XI at DPS Kuwait. He has been trained by Khelo India coach Bhakshit Salian at the Mangala Stadium in Mangaluru during his vacation.

The meet brought together young athletes from across Karnataka, providing a platform to showcase their skills and compete at a high level. Nihal's achievement not only brought pride to his district but also inspired his peers and young athletes aspiring to make their mark in athletics.
