Beltangady: Holy Redeemer English Medium School students excel in Karate competition

Beltangady, Aug 5: Students from Holy Redeemer English Medium School achieved notable success in the Karate competition organized for primary and high school sections on August 5. The event was jointly organized by the Public Education Department, Block Education Department, and School Education and Literacy Department at Indira Gandhi Residential School, Hosangady.

Eight students from Holy Redeemer participated in the competition. In the high school section, Bhuvi Shetty secured 3rd place in the under-17 weight 40-45 kg category, while Manvi secured 3rd place in the under-17 weight less than 40 kg category.

In the higher primary section, Shamanth secured 2nd place in the under-14 weight less than 30 kg category, and Sonal D'Souza secured 3rd place in the under-14 weight 31-34 kg category.

The students were trained by Karate Sensai Ashok and were accompanied by PT master Girish and teacher Vidhyashree.
