Bantwal, Aug 9: A 15-year-old SSLC student, Bhavish Acharya, tragically took his own life by hanging himself in the bathroom of his home in Benjanapadavu on the night of August 7.

Bhavish, the son of Udaya Acharya, was a resident of Benjanapadavu Karavali Site and was studying in a private institution in Badakabailu. He had frequently expressed to his parents the difficulties he faced with his studies. The exact reason for his drastic action remains unknown.

On August 7, Bhavish returned home in the evening and stayed in. At around 7:30 pm, he went to the bathroom and did not return for some time. When his family knocked on the door and received no response, they broke it open, only to find Bhavish hanging. Although he was rushed to Thumbay hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The Bantwal city police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
