Beltangady, Aug 9: A taluk level chess tournament jointly organised by school education department, block education office and cluster resource centre was held on August 8, at SDM aided school in Perinje.

Ayan of class 7 of Holy Redeemer English medium school, Beltangady exceled in the tournament and is qualified for district level in under - 14 boys category by gaining exceptional ranking.

Headmaster congratulated him and wished well for his next endeavour.
