Udupi: Student drowns in pond near Hebri

Udupi, Aug 10: A student drowned in a pond at Halbettu in Shivapura near Hebri in the taluk on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Sidwik Shetty, a local resident.

According to a complaint filed by his parents at the Hebri police station, Sidwik drowned while taking a bath in the pond.
