Mangaluru girl Sonal Monteiro, director Tarun Sudhir enter into wedlock in star-studded ceremony

Bengaluru, Aug 11: Mangaluru girl Sonal Monteiro and director Tarun Sudhir tied the knot on Sunday, August 11, in the morning in Bengaluru.

The grand wedding was a major event in Sandalwood, attended by numerous celebrities and close friends. Notable guests included actors Shivarajkumar, Ganesh, Sharan, Jagapathi Babu, Prem, Avinash, singer Vijay Prakash, and actresses Tara, Girija Lokesh, Shruti, Meghana Raj, Megha Shetty, Rachita Ram, Sudha Rani, Nishvika Naidu, Padmaja Rao, along with music directors Hamsalekha, Harikrishna, and Sadhu Kokila.

The couple exchanged vows in the presence of a distinguished audience, including politicians and dignitaries, adding to the occasion's significance. Sonal Monteiro, who was emotional during the ceremony, expressed her joy about beginning this new chapter in her life.

Sonal shared, “We are incredibly happy to start this new journey together. Darshan Sir has been an important part of our lives, and his absence is deeply felt. It’s especially meaningful to start this new phase on my birthday.”

Actor Darshan, initially expected to play a prominent role in the wedding, could not attend due to legal issues. Tarun Sudhir also expressed his disappointment over Darshan’s absence but appreciated the overwhelming support and well-wishes from friends and family.

Tarun commented, “Despite the challenges, we are excited to embark on this new phase with great enthusiasm. The support we have received has been tremendous, and while Darshan’s absence was unfortunate, we are grateful for all the blessings.”
