Mangaluru, Aug 11: The year 2024 is set to be a year to remember for Sukrutha Wagle, as she marks her return to the big screen with three significant film releases.

After taking a break from the film industry to focus on her law studies, Sukrutha Wagle is back with Kapati, Martin, and Max all slated for release this year.

Sukrutha Wagle, who made her debut in the state award-winning film Jatta in 2013, left an indelible mark on film enthusiasts with her performance. With an 11-year career, she is known for her versatile roles across various genres. In her upcoming projects, she will once again showcase her range by portraying different characters.

Kapati is a female-centric film that delves into the dark web, a concept rarely explored in Kannada cinema. Sukrutha expressed her excitement about her return, saying, "It's a special feeling to be back on screen after four years. The industry has changed, technology has evolved, and it feels like starting from scratch and learning new things."

She also highlighted the unique appeal of Kapati, stating, "The film's fresh concept, which deals with the dark web, is something that hasn't been touched upon in Kannada cinema. It's important to educate the public about this issue."

Kapati, starring Dev Devaiah and Satwik alongside Sukrutha Wagle, is directed by Ravi and Chethan SP and is set to release on August 23.

Sukrutha will also feature in the Kannada movie Martin, starring Dhruva Sarja, an international film releasing in 13 languages, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, and Arabic. She plays a significant role in the film, which is scheduled for release on October 11.

In Max, another Kannada film, Sukrutha shares the screen with Sudeep in a full-fledged role. This movie is expected to release in October or November.

Working with both Dhruva Sarja and Sudeep has boosted Sukrutha Wagle's confidence, providing her with valuable insights for her future in the film industry.

Born to Smitha and Sadananda Wagle, Sukrutha Wagle hails from Manipal in Udupi.
