Malani gives tribute to Sridevi on her 61st birth anniversary with poem

Mangaluru, Aug 14: It is well known to everyone that Sandeep Malani has been a die-hard Sridevi fan (he calls himself above that, a devotee of hers) and truly he is, as he has been contributing and celebrating her legacy from many years now. He has been celebrating her birthday on Aug 13 every year since ages now by have gifted her memorable childhood family photo, by making a collage of all her film posters, by writing an diary on her life and by making a musical documentary on her film career. He has in the past dedicated a film Janleva 555 to her in which actress Kalpana Pandit has worn costumes that Sridevi wore in Nagina, Chaalbaaz, Chandni to name a few and the film was also a take-off on Nagina and Nigahen.

His iPhone films Yeh CineMaa Hai was also dedicated to the legendary actress in which some sequences and scenes was praised. And now, his latest Hindi film ‘Rang Bhare Baadal Se’ (the title is a sentence from the famous song of Sridevi’s film Chandni, which in fact she sang herself). Malani has dedicated this to his all-time favourite actress wherein he himself as recited the poem in which there are references to her films.

The film made under the banner of Ashmita and Amisha Films is produced by Rajesh Chowdhury and has besides Sandeep Malani, popular Telugu, Kannada, and Konkani actress the award winner Ester Noronha playing the lead along with Indian Idol  fame singer Nihal Tauro and Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Uday Surya.

The film also features Ashwin D’Costa (of Osmitay fame), Godwin Sparkle, Rajeev Pillai, Josita Anola, Anitha Dulam, Seema Buthello, Hareram Thakur, Soujanya Hegde, Valerian Menezes, Manjula Pillai, Jigar Chanana, Jigar Chanana, Aurobindo, Clement Sequeira, Thirumalesh, Preeti, Ashmita & Amisha Chowdhury with veteran Kannada actress Jayalakshmi and Konkani actress Meena Malani.

Music composed by Veer Samarth, Patson Periera and Rahul Raj, the film has cinematography by Selvam. Santosh Chawla and Silver Malani have co-directed the film and has story screenplay and direction by Sandeep Malani. The film is also been simultaneously made in Kannada as Heegeke Nee Doora Hoguve and would be released in coastal languages as Mog Tuzo Kithlo Ashelon (Konkani) and Mokeda Singaari Untudde Vaiyyari (Tulu). The film is ready for release.
