Mount Carmel KG to primary students ignite patriotism at Independence Day celebration

Mangaluru, Aug 15: In a vibrant display of patriotism, Mount Carmel Central School, commemorated Independence Day with an unparalleled grandeur. The students from kindergarten to primary participated with pomp and pride making this year’s celebration a truly exceptional and memorable event.

The students of grade III E and IV E hosted the cultural programme on August 13. The celebration commenced invoking divine blessings. The students tapped to the beats of a classical song 'Vande Matharam' and radiantly welcomed the audience while Liana and Aryan accorded words of welcome. The significance of the day was well articulated by Arush and Sanvi. The cultural programme which was an amalgamation of emotions of pride, patriotism, gratitude and responsibility was artistically and sensitively exhibited by the students through dances and skit.

The chief guest Anil E Moras, asst general manager of Karnataka Bank Ltd, at the outset applauded the students for putting up a patriotic, powerful and nation spirited performance. His message to the students was 'Do not worry about the past and do not be afraid of the future, strive to be good citizens of the nation'.

The winners of various competitions were felicitated with medals and certificates.

The programme concluded with a grand finale, where all participants came together to perform 'We Are India, Alive India', a multilingual song that beautifully captured the spirit of unity in diversity and patriotism.
