Kundapur: Independence Day celebrations held at IMJ Educational Institute, Moodlakatte

Kundapur, Aug 15: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur at IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce, Moodlakatte.

Lt Col MK Shetty hoisted the flag as the chief guest of the programme and spoke about the trials and challenges of joining the army. He encouraged the students to join the army and gave top priority to the soldiers in national service, and every selfless service is national service and Bhodhaka service is the best among them. He said, "What I have given to the country is more important than what the country has given to me."

Lecturers of IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce offered prayers. Lt Col MK Shetty was felicitated as the chief guest on behalf of the organization.

On this occasion Dr Sunil, medical officer of K V Baliga Memorial Hospital, gave a special lecture on the topic of freedom from addiction. Various cultural programmes were performed by the students. Sona compered the programme, Cincy gave the welcome address, and Abhinav delivered the salutation.
